MICKEY KANNIS CAUGHT MY EYE

"This was a lovely production from the moment the curtains opened"
Jill Fletcher (Adjudicator: Festival 2001)

Mickey Kannis Caught My Eye is set in Cape Town, and concerns a dancer who painfully comes to terms with the fact that he is too old to make a living from dance. This portrayal of disillusionment is both funny and heart-breaking, and is a story that all will be able to identify with.
Sue Bolton's production of Geraldine Aron's play was honoured with three awards at Festival 2001, Fish Hoek Dramatic Society's 37th Annual One Act Play Festival at the Masque Theatre.

JOGGERS

"Joggers in particular gained in depth and emotional intensity during the double bill"
Cuan Glass

JOGGERS is the story of two couples on holiday at a hotel somewhere along the Cape's 'Garden Route' in the late '70's. The first couple are middle class, middle aged, and initially a bit fed up with their situation. The second couple are a middle aged successful businessman and his new, younger, ex-model wife. Each reveals something about their personality, including some surprising secrets, and gradually their perspective on life changes.
